The Board of Directors of the Helena Area Youth Hockey Association has tentatively determined it will adopt a new amendment to organization’s Bylaws at its next regularly scheduled meeting November 1, 2018.

The Board of Directors of the Helena Area Youth Hockey Association has tentatively determined it will adopt the following amendment to organization’s Bylaws at its next regularly scheduled meeting November 1, 2018. If you have any questions or comments please provide them to your division’s Board Representative. You may also provide written comments at the following address: HAYHA, PO BOX 5022, HELENA, MT 59604. Please provide or postmark your comments no later than Monday, October 29, 2018.


Amendment to Bylaws of the Helena Area Youth Hockey Association


7.17. DISCIPLINARY AUTHORITY
The board of directors may administer and conduct disciplinary proceedings and may adopt related polices for the purposes of imposing discipline upon its members or player participants. Discipline may include, but is not limited to, expulsion, suspension, termination, or other forms of verbal or written censure.
The administration of discipline must include fair and reasonable procedures.
For purposes of any expulsion, suspension, or termination, any procedures must meet the minimum requirements of Mont. Code Ann. § 35-2-520.
Immediate summary suspension may also be imposed prior to hearing if circumstances so warrant.
Any disciplinary proceedings must also be consistent with any applicable requirements of MAHA or USAH.
