President's Note
On behalf of the Helena Area Youth Hockey Association (HAYHA), I would like to welcome you to the 2020-21 Hockey Season. HAYHA is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to improving and expanding hockey in Helena and the surrounding communities. This year we have many challenges ahead of us as we confront the COVID-19 pandemic. In late spring, HAYHA formed a COVID-19 subcommittee and has been working closely with the Helena Ice Arena and the Montana Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) to develop a plan of operations for conducting youth hockey practices and games. Health directives change frequently and we all need to do our part to keep our rink and our youth hockey program operating this season...Read More..
Thank you to the Helena Bighorns and Blue Cross Blue Shield for donating $2,400 to Helena Area Youth Hockey!
2020/2021 Goalie Development Group
Another year of developing HAYHA goalies is in the books with the final practice coming Wednesday morning, February 24th. This group has practiced every other Wednesday, starting in October, at 6:00 am. There have been as many as 11 different goalies in this group this year including Bighorn goalie Kaden Biagi, 12U goalies: Noah Flynn, Dean Peterson, Joey Fraser, Benjamin Wilson, 10U goalie Stone James, and 8U goalies: Fisher Briggs, Brayden Day, Bricean Strainer, Brayden Smith, and Drew Sammons. We would like to give a big shout out to all the coaches that made this a great success, and we look forward to more goalie development in the next year.
